This time I am testing two 55-degree rubbers, i.e., the Xiom Jekyll & Hyde C55 and the Andro NUZN 55. As the game has slowed down and become more physical following the introduction of the 40+ ball, manufacturers have been developing increasingly harder rubbers that allow for more efficient energy transfer. The C55 and NUZN 55 are two modern takes on this approach.

This time, I’m reviewing two blades from XIOM’s affordable Hayabusa range, i.e., the 5+2 ply composite XIOM Hayabusa ARX and XIOM Hayabusa ZLX blades.

We’ve got something special for you this time: a side-by-side review of the Tibhar Alexis Lebrun Krypto Carbon and Tibhar Felix Lebrun Hyper Carbon blades, which are used by the talented Lebrun brothers who have made quite the splash on the table tennis scene in recent years, including Felix, who reached the semi-finals of the 2024 Olympic Games.

In this review I will be reviewing and comparing two recent additions to Nittaku’s and Donic’s top-end rubber range, i.e., the Nittaku GeneXTion and the Donic Bluestar A1. Both rubbers have non-tacky top-sheets and semi-hard 52.5-degree sponges.

This time, I am reviewing a special, recently released blade: the top-end Nittaku ACTEC. The ACTEC is a new addition to Nittaku’s German-made Meister (German for “master”) series, which includes the Nittaku Holz Sieben, Nittaku Basaltec Inner, and Nittaku Basaltec Outer.
